Fertility is being ruined due to bad lifestyle and excessive stress.Declining Fertility in Youth Reasons: The age of 20 to 30 years is considered best for men and women. At this age, the havoc of diseases is minimal and the body is quite healthy. This age is also the best in terms of fertility. One does not have to face any difficulties in having children at this age. However, times are changing rapidly and now people are facing infertility even at the age of 20-30. According to experts, fertility among youth is continuously decreasing. Earlier this problem was seen after the age of 35 to 40, but now it has become common among the youth also.
Dr. Sonali Gupta, fertility expert at Bliss IVF and Gynec Care Center in Greater Noida, told News18. The biggest reason for declining fertility among youth is change in lifestyle. Staying awake till late night, lack of sleep, excessive consumption of junk food and lack of physical activity disturbs the hormonal balance. In men, this affects sperm count and quality, while in women, ovulation can become irregular. Such a routine for a long time can weaken fertility. Youth will have to improve their lifestyle to maintain their fertility.
The doctor said that a major reason for low fertility among youth is excessive mental stress. Career pressure, financial worries and stress related to social life increase cortisol hormone in the body, which directly affects the reproductive hormones. Due to excessive stress, periods can become irregular in women and testosterone levels in men can fall, which causes problems in pregnancy. Apart from this, hormonal problems can also ruin fertility. Problems like PCOS, thyroid and endometriosis are appearing in women at an early age, which affect fertility. Whereas in men, sperm quality is decreasing due to thyroid, diabetes and hormonal imbalance. The problem keeps increasing due to lack of timely investigation.
According to experts, excessive use of mobile and laptop is also having a negative impact on fertility. Working with laptop in lap for a long time, keeping mobile in pocket continuously and watching screen till late night can affect sperm quality in men. Apart from this, blue light emanating from screens also affects sleep and hormones in women. Doctors advise that youth should improve their lifestyle in time. It is very important to have a balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep and controlling stress. Maintain distance from smoking and alcohol and if you are having trouble conceiving for a long time or your periods are irregular, then consult a doctor without any delay. Steps taken at the right time play an important role in saving fertility.
