An ongoing Microsoft outage is preventing enterprise customers from accessing email inboxes, files, meetings and other Microsoft cloud services.

Technology giant Dr Posted on X Around 2:30 pm ET that the outage was “part of the North American service infrastructure not processing traffic as expected.” Microsoft did not provide specifics on the cause of the outage, but said it was “working to restore the infrastructure to a healthy state to achieve recovery.”

Microsoft Dr on its status page The outage affected its Exchange Online email service, searching for files within SharePoint Online or OneDrive, and chatting, creating meetings or adding members to its video meeting platform, Teams.

The outage prevented admins from accessing their Microsoft Purview and Defender XDR security dashboards and their admin center.
