Purest Food in World: In today’s era when there is more suspicion of adulteration in everything, then which is the purest food in this world? In our religion and culture, Ghee is considered to be the purest food item but is it scientifically correct? We have talked to two of our experts on this topic. Let us know which is the purest food item in the world according to science.

What is the purest food in nature? what does science sayThe purest thing in the world.

Purest Substance on Earth: What is the purest thing among food items? You will say that rice, pulses, flour – all these are pure. But no, there is no purity in these things. Let’s talk about rice. Paddy is grown in the field. Rice is made from it and it comes to our house. Is it pure? Not at all, many chemicals are found in paddy in the field itself. Even if it is grown organically, some remains of insects are definitely found in it. When there are such big questions on the purity of rice, then tell us which food item is the purest in nature. There is one thing. Its name is ghee. Ghee is also considered most sacred in our culture. So is this also true according to science? Let us know.

How pure is the ghee?
In its report regarding Ghee, BBC has said on the basis of conversation with many experts that Ghee is the purest food item. But we also talked to two of our experts regarding its scientific validity. Chief Clinical Nutritionist, Apollo Hospitals Bengaluru Dr. Priyanka Rohatgi Who is now working in America, said that although it has not been officially declared yet, but Ghee should be considered the purest food item of nature. The indigenous method by which ghee is extracted here is very pure. Basically it is the ultimate purest form of milk. For this, cream is extracted from milk or rather butter is made. First the milk is churned and after that the solid cream that remains is cooked on low flame. After cooking, its impurities come out and the liquid that remains is pure ghee. In this way its purity is proved because all its impurities are removed after coming on fire.

Why is ghee the purest?
Dr. Priyanka Rohatgi told that ghee is very pure even according to science. Ghee is pure fat. In ghee, carbon, hydrogen and oxygen are connected by single bonds. It is called short and medium chain fatty acids. It gets metabolized immediately after entering the body, thereby producing instant energy. Ghee is a low calorie diet. Therefore, if eaten in limited quantity then it is a natural diamond for our health. Eating ghee in limited quantity increases good cholesterol and decreases bad cholesterol. Ghee contains vitamins A, D, E and K which are very important for us. Ghee helps in making skin glow and hair strong. Ghee also strengthens the bones and removes fatigue and weakness in the body. Seen this way, ghee has many benefits.

Pure even according to science!
Chief Dietitian of Sir Gangaram City Hospital Mukta Vashishtha It is told that even according to science, ghee is pure but it cannot be the ghee of the market. For this you will have to take out butter with your own hands and churn it and remove water from it. Then definitely Ghee can be the purest food item in the world. He said that this is the purest thing to eat. Pure ghee contains pure saturated fat. It contains butyric acid and oleic acid. If eaten in limited quantities, both these things are like nectar for our health. Ghee contains medium chain fatty acids which are quickly absorbed by the intestine. Obviously the fatty acids present in it will speed up the metabolism. Ghee contains many types of vitamins. There are fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E and Vitamin K. Ghee also helps a lot in the absorption of these vitamins. All these things boost our immunity. Not only this, ghee also contains many types of antioxidants. It also contains Omega 3 fatty acids. All these protect us from many types of diseases.

But consume only in limited quantity

Dr. Priyanka Rohatgi told that no matter how pure ghee is, it should be consumed in limited quantity and in the right way. Ghee contains short chain and medium chain fatty acids. This means that if it is heated even a little too much, its chain will break and its place will be filled with oxygen from the air, causing it to oxidize. Due to the oxidation process, it will increase the free radicals inside the cells. In such a situation, if you eat too much ghee, it will increase the risk of many chronic diseases like BP, diabetes, heart etc. However, this will happen to those who consume too much ghee in this manner. Generally, eating two-three spoons of ghee will be beneficial, not harmful. But the real thing is how we should eat ghee. Whenever you want to eat ghee, try to mix it solid in hot food like rice, lentils etc. or add it to the plate as soon as it melts on low flame. This ghee is the purest and has many benefits. Dr. Priyanka Rohatgi says that if you eat 1 to 2 spoons i.e. 15-30 ml of ghee in a day in this way, it will have many benefits. One should not eat more ghee than this.
