The stage of the Grammy Awards became the center of protest against the immigration agency ICE in America. While receiving awards, many big artists openly criticized the strict immigration action going on in the country.

Puerto Rico’s famous rapper Bad Bunny, who won the Album of the Year award, started his speech by saying ‘ICE out’. He said on stage that ‘we are not wild, neither animals nor aliens. We are human beings and we are Americans. He dedicated his album to all those who had to leave their country for their dreams. Olivia Dean, who won the Best New Artist award, also spoke about her immigrant background on stage. She said she is the granddaughter of an immigrant and her success is a result of the courage of those who deserve respect.

Famous American singer Billie Eilish also took a strong stance against ICE. Not only did he wear a pin with ICE out written on it and while receiving the Song of the Year Award he said – ‘No one is illegal on stolen land.’ Billie Eilish’s reference was to America’s colonial history. He criticized ICE and also made sharp remarks from the stage.
