Amit Kumar/Samastipur: Dr. Ranjan Kumar, an Ayurvedacharya working in the health center of Samastipur, Bihar, has given important advice regarding exercise in the changing seasons. Talking to Local 18, he told that according to Ayurveda, exercise should always be done only up to half the strength of the body, which is called ‘Ardhashakti rule’. He says that the meaning of exercise is not only to sweat, but to remove the impurities accumulated in the body. Balanced exercise causes slight fatigue in the body, which is a sign that the exercise has been sufficient. He told that rigorous exercise should be avoided in summer and rainy season, because the body’s strength is less during these days. At the same time, doing plenty of exercise in the autumn, winter and spring seasons is considered more beneficial. He described the current weather as favorable for exercise and said that now people can start a regular routine.

Importance of half power rule, special advice for BP patients
Ayurvedacharya Dr. Ranjan said that if the half strength rule is not followed, many problems can arise in the body. Exercising beyond your capacity can increase fatigue, weakness, joint pain and arthritis related disorders. He especially advised high blood pressure patients to be careful. During the cold season, such people are asked to avoid the cold morning air, but now that the weather is pleasant, people can start doing light exercise. Regular and balanced exercise strengthens the digestive fire, which strengthens the digestive power and increases the immunity. Exercise opens up the body’s resources, improves blood circulation and maintains energy balance.
