Mushrooms have to be picked the day before for frying the khukuri. Soak the mushrooms in warm water before going to bed at night. In the morning, discard the water and clean the mushrooms again in water. Then it has to be cut. Besides, potatoes and onions should be cut thinly. When the oil gets hot in the pan, add the cumin seeds. After that, onions and chillies should be fried. Then fry the potatoes and add the mushrooms. Then add turmeric and salt. When the fry turns red, remove it. This khukuri fry is very popular.
