Cashless treatment insurance facility in Ayurveda: The benefit of cashless treatment of health insurance, which was available till now for allopathic treatment, can now be availed in Ayurveda also. For the first time in India, Ayurvedic treatment will be covered under insurance. All India Institute of Ayurveda has started the facility of cashless Ayurvedic treatment by signing MoU with 32 insurance companies. AYUSH health insurance helpline was also launched for the first time.

Cashless treatment insurance facility in Ayurveda: Till now, insurance companies used to provide insurance facility only for allopathic treatment, but now the facility of cashless treatment will be available in Ayurveda also. All India Institute of Ayurveda has tied up with 32 insurance companies. On Tuesday, AIIA has signed an MoU with the General Insurance Council and insurance provider companies to facilitate cashless Ayurvedic treatment to the patients. This is the first time in India that insurance facility will be available in Ayurvedic treatment.
This is a very important step towards strongly integrating Ayurveda with the mainstream health insurance ecosystem. on this MOU AIIA Director Vaidya PK Prajapati and General Insurance Council Director Sampath Kumar Sanger Signed. During this, Chairman of the Core Group of Experts on AYUSH Health Insurance, Prof. Bejon Kumar Mishra was also present.
Regarding this historic agreement, Professor Prajapati said that now AIIA has been empaneled with all the 32 insurance companies under the General Insurance Council, due to which cashless treatment services can be provided to the patients. This step will benefit patients on a large scale.
Whereas Prof. Bejon Kumar Mishra said that this is the first time in the country that an AYUSH institute has signed an MoU with the General Insurance Council. Availability of cashless treatment facility at AIIA will significantly increase patient accessibility and affordability, expand services to a larger section of the society, strengthen patient confidence and further strengthen the credibility of the institution. This initiative will also contribute to increase in patient intake, better utilization of services and institutional sustainable development.

For the first time in the country, AYUSH health insurance helpline has been started by the Ministry of AYUSH. All information related to AYUSH health insurance can be obtained on this. Its helpline number is: 1800-11-0008 and the timings to call the helpline are 9:30 AM to 5 PM on all working days.
This helpline will help the beneficiaries in solving insurance related problems. AYUSH will increase awareness of insurance coverage and ensure easy access to eligible benefits.
