Baba Madan Mohan Modak’s handmade jillipi has reached America. Apart from this, the shop’s chicken jillipi has crossed Delhi.”

This famous chick from Agradwip in East Burdwan has gone abroad. Apart from this, the taste of Jilipi of this chicken from Agradwip has reached Delhi, Surat, Jaipur, Bombay and other places. Swapan Modak said, ‘It takes about two hours to make one kg of chicken jelly. Chickpeas, small amount of flour, sugar (for juice) are used to make chickpea jelly.

Chicken Jilipi is still being made in Agradwip in the tradition. However, the price of this very popular sweet i.e. chicken jelly is only five rupees today. Still many people come from far and wide to taste this popular chick jilipi of Agradwip in East Burdwan district.
