The man of the match award went to Sudeep Kumar Gharami, who played an outstanding innings with the bat.
Andhra Pradesh scored 295 runs in the first innings of the match. In response, Bengal built a huge mountain of runs. Bengal’s first innings ended with 629 runs. Sudeep Gharami played an impeccable innings of 299 runs and missed the triple century by just 1 run. He played a total of 596 balls, which is a new record among Bengal batsmen. This innings of his practically gave the rush of the match to Bengal.
