Is blood sugar increasing after 30? Just make these changes, control level will remainZoom

After the age of 30, if some changes are made in the eating and sleeping habits, then the risk of many diseases can automatically reduce. For good health, experts advise that after 30, the amount of both sweets and salt in food should be reduced. But the truth is that giving up sweets is not easy for everyone. Whether it is a normal person or a patient suffering from diabetes, controlling sugar becomes a big challenge. In such a situation, blood sugar can be kept balanced by including some special superfoods in the diet.

In Ayurveda, food is considered equal to medicine. If the diet is balanced then the body also remains balanced. The first things that come to mind for prevention and control of diabetes are fenugreek seeds and oats. Both of these contain good amounts of soluble fiber, such as glucomannan and beta-glucan, which prevent blood sugar from rising rapidly. It is also considered helpful in reducing insulin resistance.

Other important food items are cinnamon and bitter gourd. Both of these are easily available in Indian kitchens. Consuming bitter gourd two to three times a week is considered beneficial. Cinnamon can be taken with food or with lukewarm water in the morning. It is believed that both of these activate the cells of the body, due to which they are able to use glucose better and the blood sugar level remains controlled.

Apart from this, pulses, flaxseed, sattu and isabgol are also very beneficial. Magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids and fiber are found in abundance in them. These nutrients improve insulin sensitivity and also improve digestion. It is important to include fruits in a balanced diet. Fruits with low glycemic index like guava, apple and pear are a better option for diabetic patients, because they do not increase blood sugar rapidly.

Not only diet, change in lifestyle is also equally important. Walking for at least 30 minutes daily, doing light exercise, staying away from processed food and sweet drinks and getting adequate sleep play an important role in blood sugar control. With proper eating habits and discipline, one can live a healthy life even after 30.
