Therefore, it is not considered right to take these symptoms lightly.

Eyes are a very delicate and important part of our body, but in today’s lifestyle they are being harmed the most. Along with the habit of watching mobile, laptop and TV screens for a long time, dust, smoke and increasing pollution have a bad effect on the eyes. Due to these reasons, problems like burning, itching and redness start occurring in the eyes. Often people ignore these symptoms considering them minor, but according to experts, if timely attention is not given then the delicate layer of the eyes can get damaged and the problem can also become serious.
The problem of itching and burning in the eyes has become very common these days. There can be many reasons behind this, like change in weather, allergy, eye infection or sitting in front of the screen for a long time. Apart from this, dust, smoke and pollution also affect the sensitive surface of the eyes, which can cause problems like irritation, redness and watering of the eyes. This problem may seem mild in the beginning and can be cured by some easy measures, but if the problem persists for a long time then it should not be taken lightly.
According to experts, the most common reasons behind eye irritation and itching are allergies and infections. In case of allergy, the eyes become red, itchy and start watering. However, if infection occurs, problems like pain, burning sensation and swelling may also be felt. In such a situation, washing the eyes with cold and clean water can be an easy and safe method. However, it is very important to consult a doctor before using any kind of eye drops.
Proper eating habits and good habits are also very important to keep the eyes healthy. Drinking adequate amount of water, eating a balanced diet and consuming foods rich in Vitamin A and Omega-3 fatty acids helps in maintaining good eye health. Things like carrots, green vegetables, fruits and dry fruits are considered beneficial for the eyes and also help in maintaining eyesight.
Along with this, it is also very important to take care of cleanliness. Hands and face should be kept clean and touching the eyes repeatedly should be avoided. It is better to wear glasses while going out in dusty and polluted places. If the eyes are itching, then one should not rub them vigorously, because this can damage the cornea and also increase the risk of infection. Putting rose water or any household liquid in the eyes without doctor’s advice is not considered safe.
