New Delhi. After being denied the Nobel Peace Prize, Donald Trump sent a message to Norway’s PM saying he was no longer bound by peace and wanted “complete control over Greenland”. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gehr Storr confirmed on Monday that he had received a message from US President Donald Trump, in which he said that after not receiving the Nobel Prize, he no longer feels the need to think about peace.

Addressing Jonas in this letter, Trump wrote, “Since your country has decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for preventing eight wars, I no longer feel any need to think entirely about peace, although it will always dominate, but now I can think about what is good and right for the United States of America.”

He again talked about complete control over Greenland. He further wrote, “Denmark can’t protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have ‘ownership’ anyway? There are no written documents; just a boat landing there hundreds of years ago, but our boats have also landed there. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its formation, and now, NATO must do something for the United States. Until we have complete control over Greenland, the world is not safe.”

This is not the first time that Trump has targeted Norway for not giving him the Nobel Prize. However, it is worth noting that the Nobel Prize is decided by an independent committee in Oslo, and not the Norwegian government. Norway’s PM also confirmed the authenticity of the letter to local newspaper VJ.

He explained, “This is a message I received from President Trump on Sunday afternoon. It came in response to a short message sent to President Trump earlier in the day by me and the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb.” According to reports, as per Trump’s preference, this message was also shared with other leaders of NATO countries. The store received this message just a day after an emergency meeting of several European leaders on the recent steps taken by Trump.

The US President is focusing on Greenland and acquiring it for America. Trump has campaigned for the Nobel Prize several times and has repeatedly claimed that he has prevented at least 8 wars. Last year’s award was given to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado. Machado gifted his award to Trump. The move was criticized by the Nobel Committee, which said the prize could not be transferred to anyone.
