This post of his is now in headlines all over the world. Firstly, after sharing the screenshot of the French President’s message, he shared a picture from the Oval Office of the White House, in which he is showing a map. In that map, Venezuela, Canada and Greenland are shown with American colors and American flags, as if they were all American territories.

However, the map that Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social appears to be created by AI. This post has come at a time when there is a heated argument going on between America and European countries regarding Greenland. Trump has already talked about bringing Greenland under US control and this has increased concern and criticism among European countries and NATO countries. The governments of Denmark and Greenland have said that Greenland is not for sale and they will take their own decisions.

America’s claim on Greenland

Minutes after posting the map, Trump shared another photo. In this picture he is seen planting the American flag in Greenland. Vice President JD Vance and Foreign Minister Marco Rubio are also seen with him. It is written on the picture – ‘Greenland US Territory Est 2026’. This simply means that they want to declare Greenland a part of America in 2026.

Trump has said many times before that America needs Greenland. He says that this area is rich in mineral resources and is very important for America’s national security, whereas Greenland is already an autonomous region of Denmark and America’s military base is also present there.

Canada and Venezuela also included in America

From the beginning of his tenure, Trump had proposed making Canada the 51st state of America. The Canadian government rejected this proposal outright, after which a trade war-like situation arose between the two countries. Trump had also imposed tariffs on Canada and recently he has also increased trade activities with China. This is the reason why Trump is even more angry at him.
