US President Donald Trump has given a big blow to French President Emmanuel Macron. French President Emmanuel Macron has called an emergency G-7 meeting with European leaders in Paris this week to discuss President Donald Trump’s efforts to acquire Greenland and rising tensions with the United States over tariffs. But now it has become clear that Donald Trump will not attend this meeting called by Macron.

Donald Trump told reporters that he would not attend the meeting. According to Trump, one reason for this is that Macron will not lead his country for long. President Donald Trump came to the White House press briefing on Tuesday (local time) to celebrate the first anniversary of his second term.

The rare opportunity comes as President Donald Trump faces fierce opposition from America’s European allies over his proposed tariffs on Greenland, which he will face in person at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland this week.

Earlier this week, Donald Trump shared private texts of Macron and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on social media. The president told reporters he would highlight his administration’s accomplishments in a key speech in Davos on Wednesday.

He said, ‘I think most of all, what I am going to talk about is the tremendous success that we have had in a year. ‘I didn’t think we would be able to do it so quickly. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Trump said he felt other countries needed to hear his advice on energy and immigration.
