American President Donald Trump.New Delhi/Washington: Amidst the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, US President Donald Trump has officially invited India to join his ambitious ‘Gaza Peace Board’. This board will oversee governance and reconstruction in war-ravaged Gaza. US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore, a close confidant of Donald Trump himself, has shared this information on social media. However, there has been no response on this from the Government of India.

What is Trump’s ‘Gaza Peace Board’?
According to the White House, this initiative is part of Trump’s ’20-Point Peace Plan’, which was formed on January 15. There will be three major blocks under this scheme. The main board will be headed by President Donald Trump himself. A committee of Palestinian technocrats will be formed which will run the local administration of Gaza. And there will be an executive board, which will focus on reconstruction and stability. Sources say that Trump does not want to limit this model only to Gaza, but is also seeing it as a framework to resolve other conflicts in the world in future.
