Ghee Health Benefits: Ghee Health Benefits: Ghee is the pride of our kitchen. Be it paratha, dal, khichdi, halwa, roti or any festive dish, the taste seems incomplete without ghee. Many people consider ghee as a source of pure energy, while some stay away from it considering it to be a fatty food that increases weight. Due to this confusion, this question arises again and again whether ghee increases obesity or can it reduce weight if consumed properly? Let us know everything.
During a conversation with Local 18, Dr. Rajkumar (Ayush) told that the amount of calories in ghee is very high. One spoon of ghee contains about 120 calories. When a person includes more ghee in his diet daily, his total calories increase rapidly. If not enough calories are spent in daily activities, then this extra energy starts getting stored in the body in the form of fat. This is why people trying to lose weight should pay special attention to the amount of ghee.
Ghee contains healthy fat
Some people also say that ghee contains healthy fat and it helps in speeding up metabolism. There is some truth in this also. Fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin A, D, E and K are found in Ghee which are essential for the body. These nutrients help in providing energy to the body and improving many important processes. But this does not mean that the more ghee you eat, the more benefits you will get. Like everything else, it is important to consume ghee in a balanced manner.
What is the rule of losing weight?
The biggest rule to lose weight is calorie balance. That means it is necessary to spend more calories than the calories that enter the body. If a person increases the amount of ghee in his food daily, his total calorie intake increases. In such a situation, the process of weight loss may slow down. This is the reason why it is not considered right to expect weight loss just by eating ghee.
