He is accused of smoking marijuana while on vacation in the Cayman Islands. He was arrested for possession of marijuana. At the time of her arrest, GG was traveling with her friend Leah Nicole McCarthy. According to Cayman Marl Road, when Gigi was getting her luggage scanned at the airport, customs found marijuana in her luggage and she was then arrested. This incident happened on 10th July.
After scanning, their luggage was searched more thoroughly. Then the customs officials found marijuana and its user’s paraphernalia like pipe, hookah type things. GG and Leah have been arrested on suspicion of importing marijuana and importing paraphernalia used for the consumption of marijuana.
Gigi Hadid confessed to the crime in no court
Gigi Hadid and Lea Nicole McCarthy were taken to the detention center. After the action he was released on bail. After appearing in the court on July 12, both the artists confessed to their crime. He was fined $1,000. After this both were released. Meanwhile, Gigi’s representative told E News, “GG was traveling with marijuana purchased legally with a medical license in NYC. It has also been legal for medical use in Grand Cayman since 2017.”
