Mirzapur. Be careful if you consume more than one teaspoon of salt in a day. Consuming more than one teaspoon of salt in 24 hours has a lot of effects on the body. This can get you into a lot of trouble. Dr. Jyoti Singh, dietitian of Mirzapur’s Divisional Hospital, says that considering the current circumstances, consume less than one teaspoon of salt daily. To reduce its use, do not add salt to salads and fruits. Consume only iodized salt in daily use. Do not use rock salt and black salt regularly.
Dietician Jyoti Singh tells Local 18 that according to the report of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), only one teaspoon of salt should be consumed a day. Consuming more than this is dangerous. But considering the number of diseases, especially hypertension, is increasing, it is better to consume it as little as possible. Food loses its taste without salt, but avoid adding any salt to salad. Do not eat it by sprinkling salt on top at all. Avoid consuming snacks that are high in salt, such as evening snacks, mathri and namkeen etc. Packaged foods use more salt, so avoid eating these also.

According to Dr. Jyoti Singh, salt containing iodine should be used for daily use. Use rock salt and black salt occasionally. If you think that eating rock salt keeps your BP (blood pressure) under control, then it is a misunderstanding. Rock salt affects our blood pressure as much as normal salt does. Rock salt can definitely increase your pocket money, but it is not very beneficial for your health. If you are using rock salt regularly then it will invite problems like goiter and thyroid. Therefore use iodized salt.
