#Mumbai : Kingshuk Sen, son of Palash Sen, lead singer of 90s popular band Euphoria, is about to step into Hollywood. Through the film ‘In a Silent Way’. The film is named after the famous Miles Davis song line. The film follows the lives of four jazz musicians in Los Angeles and how they make their way in the industry.
The film is directed by Colin Levine and stars Nicolai Dorian and Kimball Fairley. Kingshuk said, “The shooting experience was great and I had a lot of fun during the shoot. I always break a coconut before starting a project following the Indian tradition and then start working. The Gotcha team not only supported me but also actively participated in following this tradition.”
King Shook, 26, was initially asked to play the piano while auditioning for the role of a professional artist. Kingshuk said, “This is my first movie audition. I used to prioritize playing the piano when I was at Trinity Guidehall School.” After that, Kingshuk got a call for this film from Hollywood. After several meetings with the director, King Shook finally got the role.
The name of King Shook’s character in the film is ‘Anderson’. The character is a young piano player from Los Angeles. Anderson is joined by three other band members who dream of making it big in the music world with jazz. Kingshuk’s father Palash Sen is also a doctor and the creator of Euphoria band. Palash Sen is known as one of the earliest singers of the so-called “Hindi Rock” genre of music. Although a Bengali, expatriate Palash was born and brought up in Delhi. Apart from making music videos, Palash has also acted in several Hindi films. Palash Sen is one of the names in the indie pop music world of the nineties.
