Gorakhpur’s Ayurveda expert Dr. Amit says that the biggest reason for this is not the lack of medicines, but the lack of correct information. What we are eating, at what time we are eating and what things we are taking with us, this determines our health.
According to Dr. Amit, the concept of ‘Viridhu Aahar’ is very important in Ayurveda. It simply means food that is taken at the wrong time or in the wrong combination. This contrary diet gradually creates hormonal imbalance in the body and then diseases arise.

Doctors say that salt should not be consumed with milk. Similarly, eating pulses with sattu or taking sour fruits like orange, lemon or pineapple with milk is also harmful. Many people take milk and curd together, whereas in Ayurveda it is also considered against food. Due to such wrong combination, first of all the digestive system becomes weak, due to which problems like gas, acidity and constipation start.
Not only eating and drinking, but sleeping and waking up at the right time is equally important. Doctor Amit says that staying awake late at night and waking up late in the morning disturbs the natural clock of the body. Due to this, hormones do not function properly and the person always feels tired.
Kitchen is complete pharmacy
The doctor believes that every person’s kitchen is his “complete pharmacy”. If kitchen items are used properly, major diseases can be avoided. Things like turmeric, fenugreek, ginger, cumin and coriander should be included in the daily diet. Turmeric is beneficial for inflammation and immunity, while fenugreek keeps blood sugar and digestion healthy.
Doctor Amit advises to take food not as a burden but as a medicine. Right time, right quantity and right combination, if these three rules are followed, not only will the body remain healthy from inside, but you will also look fit and energetic from outside.
