New Delhi: At the 21st India Business Leader Awards (IBLA) on Saturday, India T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav opened up about the excitement of playing the T20 World Cup at home, the culture inside the dressing room and the team’s ambitions to win a gold medal at the Olympic Games in 2028.
Talking about the pressure and excitement of competing in front of the home fans, Suryakumar said that the preparation for the tournament has brought mixed emotions among the team. In his words, “We were very excited about the World Cup being held in India, but at the same time we were nervous. Yes, there was pressure, but we are happy to be playing in India,” he said.
