It is generally believed that eating too much meat increases the risk of colon cancer. But this research has revealed that the risk is almost equal for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Some reports say that the risk may be slightly higher among vegetarian eaters, but scientists say that the number of people involved in the research was small, so it is important to understand it better.

Leading scientist Aurora Perez Carnaco said that vegetarian food is good for health, but it is also important to see whether the body is getting all the necessary nutrients or not. In some cases, if the essential vitamins or minerals are not available in sufficient quantity from the food, then supplements can be taken with the advice of the doctor. Overall, a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle can reduce the risk of serious diseases like cancer to some extent. It has been said in this research that if there is a balance of protein, fat and carbohydrates in vegetarian food, then it is the best food.
