Batting first, India scored 238 runs in 20 overs, losing 7 wickets. In response, New Zealand scored only 190 runs after going into bat.
Abhishek Sharma stormed for India from the start. He played an innings of 84 runs off just 35 balls. His innings was studded with 5 fours and 8 sixes. Although India lost the wickets of Sanju Samson and Ishan Kisan early on.
Apart from Abhishek, Hardik Pandya scored 25 off 16 balls, Suryakumar scored 32 off 22 balls but failed to score big runs. However, the finisher Rinku Singh shined after getting the opportunity for the country, he remained unbeaten after playing an innings of 44 runs from 20 balls.
