Washington: The world’s most powerful army appears to be losing to Iran. This is being claimed in a leaked report from within the Pentagon itself. In this report, Trump has been warned that he has only 10 days left, after which there will be a famine in America and that too of weapons. Donald Trump has been seen repeatedly claiming in front of the world that America has so many weapons that it can fight a war for many years without stopping, but during the war with Iran, their weapons started running out in just a few weeks. Know further what has been said in the Pentagon’s warning.
Trump has only 10 days time in the battlefield
Defense experts and top army officials believe that if the war with Iran continues at this pace for the next 10 days, then superpower America may face a shortage of missiles. After helping Ukraine and Israel, America’s warehouses will be empty and it will have no weapons left to defend itself.
According to Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, Iran is making more than 100 missiles a month, whereas America is able to make only 6 to 7 interceptors a month. This ‘gap’ is very scary.
Pentagon warning
Pentagon officials and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Kane, have warned Trump that a prolonged war with Iran could be suicidal for America from the point of view of its ‘munitions stock’.
Interceptors are ending: The biggest threat is to those missiles which shoot down Iran’s missiles in the air.
THAAD crisis: America had used 150 of its ‘THAAD’ interceptors (about 25%) in the conflict with Iran last year. Now the warehouses are almost on the verge of becoming empty.
Weapons that may be in severe shortage
SM-3 missiles: These ship-launched anti-ballistic missiles have already been used in previous wars with the Houthis and Iran.
JDAMs (Smart Bombs): This GPS kit which turns ordinary bombs into ‘smart bombs’ is also falling short now.
huge war expenses
Spending in the first 24 hours: America spent $779 million (about ₹6,900 crore) on the first day of the strike alone.
Daily Expenses: The daily expense of operating an aircraft carrier like USS Gerald R Ford in the sea is ₹ 58 crores.
Total estimate: If this war continues for 4-5 weeks as per Trump’s plan, then America will have a burden of $ 210 billion (about ₹ 18.87 lakh crore).
Trump Vs Pentagon
On one hand, the Pentagon is reporting that the stock is exhausted, while on the other hand, President Trump wrote on ‘Truth Social’ that ‘American weapons stockpile has never been better before. We have ‘virtually unlimited’ supply of these. We can always fight wars on the basis of these weapons.
Iran’s counterattack and future threat
In this war, Iran has targeted American bases in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE. The Pentagon fears that if the interceptor missiles are lost, America will not be able to protect its bases and allies from Iran’s missile attacks.
