Jalpaiguri News: Momos are not new to the city, but this ‘Momos on Wheels’ arrangement has an array of fresh flavors.
Jalpaiguri: In the monsoon, the rain water splashes on the face, but the busyness of the customers walking along the road does not decrease. In the evening, the number of cheese momo, tandoori momo, chicken momo lovers continues to grow in the Shantipara area of Jalpaiguri, ignoring the rain.
Momos are not new in town, but this Momos on Wheels arrangement has an array of fresh flavors. While handing over the momos to the customers, a marine engineer in the profession of this new venture said, ‘I have touched 72 countries of the world floating in the blue water of the sea, after that I quit my job. I have started the project of making medicine for animals on my own initiative, now I have started the second initiative.

He also said, ‘The current generation is still just looking for a job. In fact, some of the lessons we learned while growing up may be responsible for this. The teacher always said that if you study well, you will get a good job. But it has never been heard that if you study well, you can become an industrialist and give employment to a hundred children yourself.’ Ishita Dutta Roy, who pulls momos at Momos on Wheels with an umbrella on her head, says, ‘Whoever sells momos is like my sister. And MA pass, but at this point there is no question that this cannot be done by MA pass. Everyone has the freedom to choose their profession.’
This newly established momo shop has captured the hearts of Jalpaiguri residents in just a few days. Great taste to eat. In the evening, the crowd of momo lovers can be seen increasing. Swarnali Basu is one of the founders of Momoz on Wheels along the way with an MA in History. With full confidence she said, ‘Basically this initiative is one of the efforts to help the poor women of Darjeeling. The main goal is to do something myself as well.’
