Washington: US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that Washington’s Kennedy Center may be closed for two years from July for repairs. Trump gave this information on social media. After returning to power in America, this is another big step taken by them regarding this famous cultural and art center. Earlier, the President had removed the old leadership and many big artists and groups had canceled their programs after adding their names to the building.

However, Trump did not make any mention of the recently canceled programs in his post. This proposal of Trump has come at a time when the documentary ‘Melania’ made on the First Lady was shown at the Kennedy Center a few days ago. Trump said that this proposal needs to be approved by the Kennedy Center’s board. However, there are people close to him on the board and Trump himself is the chairman of the board of trustees of the Kennedy Center.
