Recently he broke a big weight loss myth by sharing a video on social media. Often people believe that weekend parties, outside food and junk food are the biggest reasons for weight gain, but according to Siddharth, the real enemy is not the party but the 9 to 5 office life. Sitting on a chair for hours, eating snacks without thinking and choosing wrong drinks gradually increases belly fat, the effect of which is visible in the long run.

Siddharth Singh says that most people gain weight not at the party but at the office desk. Sitting from morning till evening, stress, repeatedly eating tea, biscuits or sweet things and energy crash in the evening – all these together stop fat loss. In such a situation, crash diet or starving yourself is not a solution. If eating habits are corrected in office, it can help a lot in reducing weight, maintaining energy and controlling cravings without much effort.

He lists three simple but effective “office food swaps” that anyone can adopt to turn their workday into a fat-burning opportunity. The first and most common swap is related to tea. According to Siddharth, if you eat biscuits with sweet tea, this combination makes you feel hungry again within an hour. Instead, have some nuts with sugar-free tea. While biscuits and sugar cause blood sugar to rise rapidly and then drop again, the healthy fats and proteins present in nuts keep you full for longer and reduce the desire to eat again and again.

The second important swap is related to fruit juice. Many people in the office drink packed or fresh juice considering it healthy, but Siddharth explains that juice is actually just sugar without fiber. This does not fill the stomach, but the calories definitely increase. Instead, eat the whole fruit and drink water with it. The whole fruit is rich in fiber, which improves digestion and keeps hunger under control for a long time. Even this small change can play a big role in reducing belly fat.

The third and most important swap is that of evening snacks. Often, by evening in the office, people eat random Bhel Puri, Samosa or any fried snack. According to Siddharth, these snacks only add extra calories and become the biggest hindrance in fat loss. Choose Greek yogurt instead. Greek yogurt is rich in protein, which keeps the stomach full, reduces cravings for sweets or junk and also helps in muscle recovery.
