Operation Sindoor Real Story: America’s own MP has exposed the claims made by Pakistan and US President Donald Trump regarding Operation Sindoor, launched by India in response to the Pahalgam attack.
Donald Trump-Mark Warner. US Senator on Operation Sindoor: America’s influential senator and chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Mark Warner, has exposed Donald Trump’s claims that he stopped India-Pakistan from war during Operation Sindoor in May. Mark Warner said that America’s role in ending the recent tension between India and Pakistan was exaggerated. The truth is that both the countries had resolved this issue themselves.
Along with this, Mark Warner warned that such things can spoil the diplomatic environment and can further fuel regional tension in this sensitive time. In an exclusive interview given to news agency IANS, Warner said that current information does not support the view that Washington single-handedly resolved this tension. He said that from what I heard and read from members of the Indian government, the intelligence community and the US Intelligence Committee, it is clear that this issue has been resolved between India and Pakistan.
‘There was no direct interference by Donald Trump’
Mark Warner acknowledged that America may have tried to play a supportive role but rejected President Donald Trump’s claims of direct interference. Asked whether the confrontation had brought the two nuclear-armed nations closer to disaster, Warner said the situation was serious but not new. Many such tensions have happened before between India and Pakistan.
Terrorism is the root of such war
Mark Warner said that this incident shows a familiar pattern. This was again linked to some terrorist incident and described cross-border terrorism as a long-standing concern. For such occasions, communication channels exist between New Delhi and Islamabad. Speaking on Pakistan, he said that it often pays excessive attention to India and also blames India for its economic challenges. On the contrary, India has now moved beyond that competition and the new generation is in favor of stronger relations with America.
What did Warner say about Donald Trump?
Referring to the American attacks on Iran, he said, ‘American military fighter planes did a wonderful job, but they did not completely destroy Iran’s nuclear capability. Tehran can prepare it again in a few months. Along with this, Mark Warner expressed concern that exaggerating America’s role could weaken trust with allied countries. The current tariff dispute with India also seems to be related to the resentment that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not give Trump adequate credit for the ceasefire. Citing examples of other foreign affairs, he said that Trump often exaggerates the results. This kind of language has diplomatic disadvantages and leads to a decline in trust between Washington and New Delhi. Warner warned that exaggerating America’s role could further complicate the regional balance and destabilize India-US relations.
