The Pakistan Cricket Board on Tuesday released the full schedule of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026. This T20 competition is going to start from March 26. A total of 44 matches will be held this season. The competition will be held at different venues in six cities – Faisalabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and Rawalpindi.

The major attraction of this year’s PSL is the inclusion of two new teams. Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindies are joining as new teams. They will play the previous six teams. Those teams are Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.

Each team will play 10 matches in the league stage. Then the top four teams in the points table will advance to the playoffs. The knockout stage will consist of Qualifier-1, Eliminator, Qualifier-2 and Final. The final match of this season will be held on May 3 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

A total of 12 double-header matches were held throughout the tournament. Three of these double-header matches will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. With the addition of new teams, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will be the home ground of Islamabad United and Rawalpindi Pindies.

Islamabad United will play six matches and Rawalpindi Pindiz will play five matches at this ground. These two teams will face each other at least twice in the league stage. Their first match will be on April 4 and the second match will be held on April 23.

On the other hand, Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host a total of 15 matches, including the opening match. Notably, PSL 2026 will run almost simultaneously with India’s IPL 2026. The IPL is scheduled to begin on March 28 and its final is scheduled to take place on May 31 in Bangalore. But there is a doubt due to the LPG problem. Cricket experts believe that Mohsin Naqvi’s PCB has challenged IPL by announcing the PCL schedule.
