In today’s busy life, irregular eating habits and lack of physical activity have given rise to many diseases. One of these is diabetes, which is rapidly becoming a common problem. Be it Type-1 or Type-2, blood sugar imbalance can have adverse effects on the heart, kidneys and eyes in the long run. In such a situation, people look for home remedies along with medicines. Pawan Arya, an Ayurveda expert from Palamu district of Jharkhand, claims that consumption of some easily available plants can help in controlling blood sugar.

According to Pawan Arya, an expert in Ayurveda from Palamu district, the evergreen plant is easily available in both villages and cities. He explains that if a person consumes five fresh leaves of evergreen plants daily, it can be beneficial in controlling diabetes. He says that this remedy shows effect if done regularly and in a balanced manner.

Prepare the mixture like this
Apart from this he also recommends a mixture. Take one tomato, one cucumber and one bitter gourd. Mix five neem leaves and five evergreen leaves in it and grind it in a mixer. Filter the prepared mixture and consume it on an empty stomach in the morning. They claim that by continuously consuming it for 15 days, the increased blood sugar level starts getting controlled. Later its quantity can be reduced and taken regularly.

Medicinal properties of many plants
He said that diabetes is a serious and long-term disease, which should be treated only under the supervision of a doctor. It is important to seek medical advice before adopting any home remedy, especially if the patient is already taking medication. The leaves of some plants have medicinal properties, but their exact quantity and effect depend on the condition of the individual.

To control diabetes, a balanced diet, regular exercise, weight control and periodic blood sugar testing are very important. Home remedies may be helpful, but they should not be considered a substitute for treatment. Only with the right lifestyle and medical consultation, effective control of this disease can be achieved.
