New Delhi : The cloud of crisis surrounding the India-Pakistan match on February 15 is not going away. As per the latest news, ICC has completely rejected all the claims of Pakistan. PCB made three demands to play against India. Not only this, the ICC has given PCB President Mohsin Naqvi a day to reconsider the decision by talking to Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
According to sources, the official announcement is likely to be made on Tuesday morning. Let’s take a look at what was Pakistan’s demand-
1. Bangladesh should not be fined:
PCB demanded that Bangladesh should be given full share of ICC revenue. But the ICC has already made it clear that Bangladesh will not be penalized by them.
2. Bilaterals with India:
The Pakistan Cricket Board demanded that India be asked to play Pakistan’s bilateral series with India. The ICC rejected this claim. They said it was beyond their control. It is also not covered by the World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.
3. India-Pakistan-Bangladesh Tri-series (Tri-series):
The Pakistan Cricket Board proposed to organize a series between the three countries. The ICC also rejected that, saying that it is the board’s job to decide such series, not the ICC.
4. Indian team’s tour of Bangladesh:
PCB had claimed that India should visit Bangladesh to play the series this year. The ICC dismissed the claim saying it was beyond their jurisdiction.
It is known that the Indian team will strictly follow the protocol of ICC in T20 World Cup. The team will reach Sri Lanka on schedule and complete regular preparations before the match. It will include training sessions and mandatory press conferences. On the day of the match, the Indian team at the appointed time. Premadasa would reach the stadium and wait for the match referee’s decision—if Pakistan didn’t field, whether the match would be called off or not!
