Applying fresh aloe vera gel on the affected area provides cooling effect and reduces itching. Turmeric and sandalwood paste is also considered helpful in reducing swelling and redness of the skin. It is also important to drink adequate amount of water and keep the body hydrated, because lack of water in the body can increase skin related problems.
