KOLKATA: Bengal Girl Now Hundred- Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Richa Ghosh has been signed by Manchester Super Giants (RPSG Group/Sanjeev Goenka owned) for a whopping sum of £50,000 which is Rs 62 lakh in Indian currency in the 2026 Women’s Hundred Draft. She joins the star-studded team along with co-stars Smriti Mandhana and Meg Lanning. Bengal’s Richa played with Smriti in the WPL team
Richa Ghosh is going to play for Manchester Super Giants in England’s ‘The Hundred’ competition. This team under the partnership of Sanjeev Goenka bought the Bengal cricketer for 50 thousand pounds or about 62 lakh rupees. However, no Pakistani cricketer got the team.
Jemima Rodriguez will play for the Southern Braves. He previously played for Leeds. But Yastika Bhatia, Sri Charani did not get the team. Not a single female cricketer from Pakistan has been fielded by ‘The Hundred’ teams. Left-arm batsman Muniba Ali, fast bowler Diana Baig, left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal and skipper Fatima Sana signed up. Each had a minimum price of Rs 18.53 lakh. But no team showed interest in taking any cricketer.
Another Indian cricketer Deepti Sharma has been taken by Sunrisers Leeds. He joined the new team for Rs 34 lakh. Deepti played for London Spirit in the past. As a result, he has experience playing in ‘The Hundred’. Can be noticed as an all-rounder.
