Sachin Tendulkar: Sachin Tendulkar invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the wedding of his son Arjun Tendulkar and Sania Chandok.
New Delhi: Sachin Tendulkar has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the marriage ceremony of his son Arjun Tendulkar and Sania Chandok. Sachin wrote on social media, “We are proud to invite Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to Arjun and Sania’s wedding. Thank you for your blessings and valuable advice for the young couple.” This wedding ceremony is going to be held in March this year. According to family sources, various wedding rituals will begin from March 3 and the main wedding ceremony will be completed on March 5 in a private setting in the presence of close relatives and friends.
Master Blaster also invited family, President Smt Draupadi Murmu, Amit Shah, Senia Gandhi. He wrote on social media, “Last February the Honorable President Smt Draupadi Murmu ji gave us great hospitality at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Those memorable moments came back to mind when we met the President today and invited him to Arjun and Sania’s wedding. We are grateful for the warm wishes and blessings of the honorable President.”
26-year-old left-arm pacer Arjun Tendulkar got engaged to Sania Chandok in August last year. Sania Chandok is the granddaughter of prominent businessman Ravi Ghai and a member of one of the richest families in Mumbai. He is ‘Mr. Working as Designated Partner & Director of Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP’. The Ghai family has a large presence in the hospitality and food industry—they own the InterContinental Hotel and the popular ice cream brand ‘Brooklyn Creamery’.
In terms of cricket career, Arjun Tendulkar joined Mumbai Indians in 2021 at a base price of Rs 20 lakhs, but he could not play the season due to injury. In the 2022 auction, the franchise kept him back in the team for 30 lakh rupees. Arjun made his IPL debut against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2023. So far in IPL he has played 5 matches and taken 3 wickets. However, due to limited opportunities in the next season, he got a chance to enter the field only in one match.
Arjun plays for Goa in domestic cricket. He has 48 wickets and 620 runs with the bat in 22 matches in first class cricket. Also in List ‘A’ cricket he has taken 25 wickets and scored 155 runs in 23 matches. He was traded from Mumbai Indians to Lucknow Super Giants ahead of IPL 2026 auction. At the same time, experienced Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has also joined the Lucknow camp, which is expected to strengthen the team’s bowling attack.
