picture Shivhar: This week has brought a big gift for the health department of the district. Two health and wellness centers of Tariyani block, Sumhati and Atkoni, have been awarded the national level National Quality Assurance Standards certificate for better health services. This certification confirms that the services provided at these centers are now at the highest standards of safety and reliability in the country.
This achievement has not been achieved overnight. Last December, from the Central Government Amritsar And the National Assessor teams from Bangalore had conducted a thorough inspection of these centres. The team not only checked the cleanliness of the hospital and availability of medicines, but also checked infection control, testing facilities, record management and most importantly, patient satisfaction levels.
Sumhati and Atkoni’s excellent report card
These centers of Sheohar have performed excellently in the national assessment. Health and Wellness Center Sumhati got 87.12 percent marks. Health and Wellness Center Atkoni got 81.93 percent marks. It is noteworthy that for this national certification it is mandatory to score at least 70 percent marks. Which shows that these centers have done much better work than the standards.
result of collective effort
Expressing happiness over this success, Civil Surgeon Dr. Deepak Kumar said that NQAS certification is part of a rigorous process. He said that it is a matter of pride for the district that national level health services are now available even in rural areas. District Quality Assurance Advisor Mohan Kumar and District Program Manager Mukta Bharti attributed this victory to the hard work of the doctors, CHO, nursing staff and the entire management team.
Villagers will benefit greatly
After this certification, the level of facilities at the health centers of Sumhati and Atkoni will further increase. The next goal of the department is to make other health institutions of the district also conform to the NQAS standards, so that every poor can get accessible and quality treatment.
