Siliguri: Good news for dry lovers. Aparajita Dutta, a resident of Siliguri, opened a dried fish restaurant this time. Many have changed professions during the lockdown. Similarly, Aparajita, a resident of Deshbandhu Para, has started dry fish business instead of profession. In Aparajita’s words, “I always had a penchant for a different kind of business. Earlier I had a beauty parlour. During the lockdown, the business of dried fish came to my mind. Only then did I open a cloud kitchen at home and deliver only dried fish.” After that, it’s in Kellaft…!
The taste of Aparajita’s dry fish is so much that customers are forced to open a dry fish restaurant. Many people’s mouths water when they hear the name of dried fish. Many people like to eat dried fish. So Aparajita has won the hearts of people by making different types of chutki.
Along with his son, he opened a Shuntki fish restaurant in the college neighborhood of Siliguri called ‘Kitchen Shuntki’. People come from far and wide to eat his dried fish recipe. His restaurant has dried fish recipes ranging from Tk 120 to Tk 250. A total of five types of Shuntki are available in his restaurant. Lote shuntki, salted hilsa shuntki of Bangladesh, Shidal shuntki, shrimp shuntki taste so much that you cannot understand without eating.
Shuntki buyer Kaushik Pal said, “My friend first introduced me to this Shuntki. It tastes so good that I have now become a Shuntki lover. Sometimes I buy Shuntki from this shop and enjoy it with my family.”
Shop owner Aparajita Dutta said, “People liked my dried fish so much that I was forced to open a shop. I get orders from many places. Even when I opened this shop, customers came here to buy dried fish.”
