It is known that these cutlets worth 10 rupees are being sold in Sukumar’s junk chop shop for the past few years.
This shop is located in Uluberia Dasbagha. Sukumar has been running a makeshift televaza shop on the roadside in the village for about eighteen-twenty years. Cutlet with chop-fuluri-singara-nimki. Very popular with customers. The buyer is not only the people of the village. People on the way, from neighboring villages and far and wide come to Sukumar’s faltu chop shop to eat fried in oil.
Every day at noon, Sukuma gets busy in decorating the shop. Sale and purchase of oil fry starts from noon. Goes till nine o’clock at night. But in the evening it is crowded. Basically school and college students are gathering here. A customer Bikash Pandit said, ‘I have been eating Televaza from this shop for many days. Cutlets here are preferred. The taste is not bad, and the price is fair.’
Seller Sukumar Podel said, ‘This shop has been around for twenty years. Around 12 to 15 types of oil fry are made every day. From six taka to seven taka, Televaza is available at a maximum of taka 10. The shop in the village so it cannot be charged more. From that side, chicken cutlets are being sold at the price of 10 taka for a long time. He also informed that when the price of meat increases, less quantity of meat is given. But the price cannot be increased.
