Brook gave life to Indian opener Sanju Samson in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup. After that Samson snatched the match from the hands of the English. Brook took a simple catch off the second ball of the third over of India’s innings (over Jofra Archer) in the match between India and England at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday (March 5). Samson’s score was 15 runs off 7 balls.
Sanju hits Archer for a six off the fourth ball. He then hit four runs off the last ball of the over. India batting first in the second semi-final of T20 World Cup 2026. England captain Harry Brooke won the toss and decided to field first.
Indian opener Sanju Samson started his innings with four runs against Archer. Jaques, bowling the second over, managed to dismiss Abhishek Sharma on the sixth ball. While trying to hit a six, the world number one T20 batsman Abhishek was caught by Phil Salt. He managed to score 9 runs off just 7 balls.
Abhishek Sharma scored a half century in India’s Super Eight match against Zimbabwe in the World Cup. He scored three wickets in a row in the group stage. He played an innings of only 10 runs against the West Indies in Kolkata on March 1. On the other hand, Sanju Samson scored a 50-ball 97 against the West Indies in Kolkata on 1 March.
