T20 World Cup 2026: The Indian team is under a lot of pressure after losing to South Africa in the Super Eight of the T20 World Cup.
Calcutta : The group stage of the T20 World Cup saw several big surprises. Teams like Australia are eliminated from the tournament after losing. On the other hand, less powerful groups like Italy, Nepal have recognized their caste. Nepal was almost defeating England again! The Afghans once again faced South Africa in a double super over.
Defending champions India lost to South Africa in Super-8. As a result, fans are surprised. On the other hand, West Indies again scored 254 for 6 against Zimbabwe and won the match by 107 runs.
West Indies topped Group-1 in the Super-8. Two-time champions in 2012 and 2016, the team has suddenly become stronger. Earlier in the group matches they beat England, Scotland, Italy and Nepal. Devastated Zimbabwe in the first match of the Super-8.
West Indies will play against South Africa (Ahmedabad) on February 26 and India (Eden Gardens) on March 1. It is not easy for Team India to make it to the semi-finals as the two-time champions West Indies suddenly became deadly. India will play the remaining two matches—against Zimbabwe in Chennai on February 26 and the West Indies in Kolkata on March 1.
