Gorakhpur: Many times there are things among us which we are not able to use because we are not aware of their benefits, but they prove to be very effective. Similarly, today we will tell how effective Ashwagandha proves to be in dangerous diseases. According to Professor Abhay of the Botany Department of Gorakhpur University, there are mainly two types of stroke.

Hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic stroke

In hemorrhagic stroke, a vein in the brain bursts and bleeding occurs. Whereas in ischemic stroke, blood circulation stops due to blood clot formation. In both situations, oxygen and nutrition do not reach the brain, due to which any part of the body may stop functioning. In many cases, the patient becomes paralyzed or even life threatening.

Treatment and long recovery process

After stroke, patients are given medicines for a long time. Also, efforts are made to reactivate the affected part of the body through physiotherapy. Physiotherapy helps in reactivating neurons (nerve cells), but this process is quite slow.

How is Ashwagandha helping?

Research has revealed that Ashwagandha can prove helpful in the regeneration or reconstruction of neurons. Professor Abhay explains that after stroke, if Ashwagandha is consumed in controlled quantity and with the advice of a doctor, then the body responds better. The natural elements present in Ashwagandha are considered helpful in strengthening brain cells and reducing stress. This can help in improving blood circulation and speeding up the recovery process.

necessary precautions

The professor told that Ashwagandha has proved to be a wonderful thing for the patient. However, stroke is a serious medical emergency and its primary treatment should be under the supervision of a doctor. The use of Ashwagandha has emerged as a supportive therapy, which is amazing.

Ashwagandha has emerged as a ray of hope amidst the rapidly increasing cases of stroke. If Ayurvedic support is combined with proper treatment, regular medication, physiotherapy and a balanced lifestyle, the path to recovery can be easy.
