Many such medicinal fruits and trees are found in the forests of Shivpuri, which have special importance in Ayurveda. It is believed in Ayurveda scriptures that there is no such tree in nature which does not have medicinal use in some form or the other. Triphala is considered an effective medicine in Ayurveda. Triphala powder prepared from the mixture of these three fruits, myrobalan, baheda and amla, is no less than a boon for the people even today. According to District AYUSH Officer Anil Verma, if these three fruits are taken in equal quantity and the powder is prepared in the right way, then it is considered beneficial in about a dozen health problems.

Beneficial for digestive system
District AYUSH officer says that the biggest benefit of Triphala is on the digestive system. Due to changing lifestyle and wrong eating habits, today people are troubled by problems like constipation, gas and indigestion. In such a situation, limited and regular consumption of Triphala powder can be helpful in providing relief.

How to make Triphala powder at home
Making Triphala powder is very easy. For this, take myrobalan, baheda and amla in equal quantity. Dry all three fruits thoroughly. After this, grind them separately and make a fine powder. Now mix these three powders well and filter them through a sieve. Fill the prepared Triphala powder in a glass jar and keep it in a dry and clean place, so that its quality is maintained.

What is the method of consumption?
According to Anil Verma, Triphala powder can be consumed with half to one teaspoon of lukewarm water before sleeping at night. If desired, it can also be taken with honey. Some people also consume it on an empty stomach in the morning, but it is important to limit the quantity.

In which diseases is it considered beneficial?
According to Ayurveda, Triphala powder is considered helpful in problems like constipation, gas, indigestion, stomach upset, weakness of eyes, weight gain, weak immunity and blood sugar imbalance. Apart from this, its benefits are also said to be beneficial in skin diseases, mouth ulcers, hair fall, fatigue and weakness. Experts believe that Triphala helps in removing toxic elements from the body, thereby detoxifying naturally.

Although Triphala is an Ayurvedic medicine, still it should be consumed with caution. Consuming it in excess can cause harm. If someone has a serious illness or is on regular medications, it is better to consult an AYUSH practitioner or doctor before taking Triphala.
