It is considered more beneficial to drink normal or slightly cold water instead of very cold or ice water. At the same time, some traditional drinks are also very beneficial to protect from heat, like Shikanji, wood apple syrup, buttermilk, coconut water, aam panna etc. These beverages cool the body and also fulfill the electrolyte deficiency.

Onion and basil are also beneficial
Eating raw onion is also considered beneficial to protect from heat. It can be taken in the form of salad or chutney. At the same time, basil leaves also help in cooling the body and reduce the effect of heat.

Be careful while going out in the sun
According to doctors, whenever you go out in strong sunlight, cover your head with a cotton cloth, towel or cap. This prevents direct sunlight from falling on the head and reduces the risk of heat stroke.

Can provide relief from headache
If headache is occurring due to heat, then applying neem leaves paste or sandalwood paste on the forehead provides coolness and can provide relief from pain.

Contact doctor immediately
Doctors say that if there is persistent dizziness, vomiting, high fever or unconsciousness along with headache, then one should immediately contact the doctor.
