India not only has a rapidly growing economy but the continuous spate of deals is also due to the mistakes of America and China, due to which the world is realizing the importance of India. Washington: Many countries are rushing towards India with lucrative trade deals. As soon as 2026 begins, more than 32 powerful countries of the world have finalized trade agreements with India. The European Union even trumpeted the agreement signed on January 27 across the world by calling it the ‘Mother of All Deals’. Mark Carney is also going to come to Delhi to correct the mistakes of Canada. India’s rapidly growing economy is not only a reason for the world’s confidence, but along with it, some mistakes of China and America have also opened ‘simsim doors’ of trade for India.
Trump and Jinping’s mistakes
On one hand, China and America were pushing trade partners. On the other hand, India was emerging as a reliable and stable partner. The result was that many powerful countries of the world came rushing to India with lucrative trade deals. India has opened trade routes with more than 32 powerful countries.
Indian Trade Deal 2026
- European Union: On January 27, 2026, India and EU finalized the historic FTA (Free Trade Agreement). This is the result of 20 years of hard work. Now Indian clothes, gems and footwear will be sold in European markets without any duty.
- The fame of the ‘Famous Five’: Not only America and EU, India has also signed big agreements with Britain (UK), Oman, and New Zealand in the last 12 months.
- Relations with Canada were strained till now. The Prime Minister of the same country, Mark Carney, is going to come to Delhi to correct the mistake and make a trade deal with India. The deal between the two countries is almost finalized.
- Apart from this, Brazilian President Lula de Silva is also going to meet PM Modi to sign a trade deal with India.
Seeing India’s growing stature on the global platform, America has also come to its senses recently. After postponing the deal for almost a year, the US has finalized the trade deal with India on 2 February. In which America reduced the tariff on Indian goods from 50% to 18%.
