North 24 Parganas: The merger will bring commercial success, hope the sweet traders of Basirhat, a town in Kachagolla. Sweet traders of Basirhat are waiting for the desired commercial success in the merger of the two organizations.
At present, almost all the best chickpeas produced in the suburbs of Basirhat end up in Kolkata’s sweet shops. So the sweet traders of Basirhat, Taki and Baduria were facing multiple hurdles to make good sweets. On the other hand, sometimes food licensing problems, and sometimes they had to face problems in meeting the demands of the employees. In total, these confectioners were beset by various problems for almost two decades. Taki Road Chowmatha Confectionery Traders Welfare Association of Basirhat has taken initiative to solve that problem.
This association of sweet traders tied the knot with the West Bengal Sweet Traders Association. On this day, a merger meeting of Basirhat Taki Road Chowmatha Confectionery Trade Welfare Association and State Confectionery Trade Association was organized in a community hall near Taki Road of Basirhat. The main aim of that meeting was to solve the problems by standing beside all the sweet traders of Basirhat who are facing various problems across the sub-division. Owners and employees of traditional confectionery establishments from several areas including Taki, Hasnabad, Haroa Basirhat and Baduria participated in this merger meeting.
Pradeep Ghosh on behalf of Basirhat Taki Road Chowmatha Sweets Traders Welfare Association said, “We used to face many problems while preparing sweets for a long time. To solve that problem we joined with the State Confectionery Traders Association. Several sweet traders of Basirhat like Chandan Ghosh, Tapas Mondal were present in this merger meeting. Besides, the presence of several office bearers including President Sandeep Sen and Secretary Tapas Das from the State Confectionery Traders Association was a sight to behold.
