Mexican drug cartels enter America

Mexico City: Tension between Mexican drug cartels and US security forces has now reached sky high. What happened in El Paso, Texas between February 9, 2026 and February 11, 2026, has shocked the whole world. According to ‘Fox News’, a Trump administration official has confirmed that Mexican cartel drones had intruded into US airspace, an incident so serious that El Paso International Airport had to be temporarily closed for security reasons.

‘Drone war’ breaks out in US skies: What is the whole matter?

Since the Trump administration came to power, strict security arrangements have been made on the border, but cartels are now taking the help of technology. The airspace of El Paso Airport was suddenly closed on Wednesday morning. Initially a 10-day lockdown was announced, which created a stir. Later it was revealed that this step was taken due to the presence of cartel drones. After which the ‘Department of War’ retaliated and deactivated them. According to reports, the US Army shot down these drones in the air while testing and using the laser counter-measure system.

Attack by drones equipped with IED

Transport Secretary Sean Duffy informed on social media (X) that ‘the threat has passed and there is no longer any threat to commercial flights’. Experts believe that in response to the ‘armed conflict’ launched by the Trump administration against the cartels, criminals are now using ‘Kamikaze’ drones and drones equipped with IEDs.

President Trump had already warned that he could declare Mexican cartels as ‘foreign terrorist organizations’ and directly attack their bases. Cartels are now using sophisticated drones not only to smuggle drugs, but also to spy on and attack US security agents and military personnel.
