Washington: There is a war going on between America and Iran. America is continuously suffering losses in this war. On Thursday, Iran launched a strong attack on Israel. Amidst increasing tension, America has tested one of its most powerful nuclear missiles. The US test-launched the Minuteman-III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) off the coast of California. This missile is often called the ‘Doomsday Missile’, because it is capable of carrying nuclear weapons and can attack thousands of kilometers away. This is said to be a weapon that brings doomsday.

According to the US Space Force, this missile was fired from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at around 11 pm on Tuesday night. The test model of this missile without nuclear weapons was GT-254, which covered a distance of thousands of kilometers over the Pacific Ocean and finally successfully hit its target near the Marshall Islands. American military officials say that this test was done to check the capability and reliability of the missile system. According to the Air Force Global Strike Command, the purpose of this launch was to see how effective the missile’s accuracy, preparedness and technical systems are.

  • Altitude: Up to 1,120 kilometers.
  • Payload: 1 to 3 re-entry vehicles, which can attack different targets.
  • Accuracy: About 800 feet (240 meters).

Iran attacked targeting Israel

On the other hand, after the incident of American submarine sinking an Iranian warship, Iran fired missiles targeting Israel in the early hours of Thursday on the sixth day of the war. Iran has also threatened to destroy military and economic infrastructure throughout the region. Shortly before Israel announced the attack, its military said it had launched new attacks targeting the Iran-backed Hezbollah extremist group in Lebanon. On Wednesday, America and Israel intensified the bombing targeting Iran’s security forces and administrative institutions.

Khamenei’s mourning ceremony postponed

The intensity of the attacks on Iran was so severe that state television announced that a mourning ceremony for Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, killed at the beginning of the conflict, would have to be postponed. In 1989, millions of people attended the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s predecessor, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. The US and Israel launched a war on Saturday targeting Iran’s key leadership, missile stockpile and nuclear program, signaling that their goal is to topple Iran’s government. The war is likely to last indefinitely due to frequent changes in the exact target and timeline.
