This huge score made it difficult for the Zimbabwean team to reply. India secured their place in the semi-finals with their third straight win in the Super Sixes. India’s next match is against Pakistan on February 1.
Bihan Malhotra and Vaibhav Suryavanshi performed exceptionally well for the team in batting. Bihan scored 109 runs off 107 balls and scored an impeccable century. Vaibhav played an important role in increasing the team’s runs by scoring 52 runs off just 30 balls. Besides, Abhishyan Kundu also added 61 runs. This batting gave India a huge target for Zimbabwe.
In reply, the entire Zimbabwe team was bowled out for 148 runs in 37.4 overs. Leeroy Chivaula scored 62 runs off 77 balls for the team. Kian Blignot scored 37 runs and Tatenda Chimugoro scored 29 runs. The rest of the batsmen could not play a big innings and Zimbabwe stopped at such a low score.
The Indian bowlers responded with a brilliant performance. Uddhav Mohan and captain Ayush took three wickets each. RS Ambarish took 2 wickets and Henil Patel and Khilan Patel took 1 wicket each. The strong batting and bowling combination of the Indian team ensured this victory.
