Chicken is considered a good source of protein, but do you know that not all parts of chicken are beneficial for health. Many people eat every part without thinking, while bacteria, excess fat and toxins can accumulate in some parts. If you also eat chicken, then it is very important to know which parts of chicken should not be eaten and why.

There is no dearth of people who are fond of eating chicken, but from health point of view it is very important to know which parts of chicken are beneficial and which parts should be avoided. Many times, due to taste or habit, people eat such parts of chicken, which can prove harmful for the body. Consuming wrong portions can cause infection, increased cholesterol and digestive problems.
The most avoided part of chicken is its skin (chicken skin). Chicken skin is very high in fat and calories. It contains high amount of saturated fat, which if consumed for a long time can cause weight gain, heart disease and high cholesterol. Especially those who are struggling with weight loss, diabetes or heart disease, they should not eat chicken skin at all. Fried chicken skin is even more harmful for health.
Apart from this, chicken liver should also be eaten in limited quantity. Although it is rich in iron and vitamin A, consuming it in excess can cause vitamin A toxicity in the body. Eating too much chicken liver is considered harmful especially for pregnant women and children. Also, the liver is the detox organ of the body, where toxins can accumulate, so it is better to avoid eating it frequently.
Chicken’s gizzard and intestines should also be eaten with caution. If they are not cleaned properly and cooked properly, bacteria can grow in them. This can cause problems like food poisoning, stomach ache, diarrhea and vomiting. One should not rely too much on such parts found in street food or hotels, because special care is not taken for cleanliness there. Some people also eat chicken head and lungs, but health experts recommend avoiding its consumption. Heavy metals, bacteria and pollutants are more likely to accumulate in these parts. These parts can enter the body and weaken the immune system and cause harm in the long run.
Lean meat of chicken breast and chicken leg is considered the safest and healthiest, because they contain more protein and less fat. Eating them by boiling, grilling or cooking them with mild spices is beneficial for health. Overall, while eating chicken, give priority not only to taste but also to health. By choosing the right portions and consuming it in balanced quantities, chicken can become a healthy part of your diet.
