In 2012, at the age of just 13, Satyam Kumar secured All India 670th rank and took admission in the B.Tech-M.Tech dual degree course of IIT Kanpur. According to media reports, he had also passed JEE in the year 2011, but due to his higher rank, he took the exam again in 2012.

Journey from IIT Kanpur to Texas

Being the youngest student in IIT Kanpur, there was a lot of pressure on him. But he remained focused on his studies. After completing B.Tech and M.Tech in 2018, he went to America for higher education. He did his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Interestingly, at the age of 24 when people plan to start their career, Satyam had already obtained his doctorate degree.
