Mumbai: IPL(IPL 2026) Alleged breach of code of conduct Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore – two star players from both teams – were severely punished.

David was fined 25 percent of his match fee for deliberately delaying the return of the ball to the umpire. On the other hand, Hardik was fined Rs 12 lakh.

Hardik Pandya fined Rs 12 lakh

Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya will have to pay a fine of Rs 12 lakh. This happened because the Mumbai Indians team was found guilty of slow over rate in the match against RCB. Hardik was punished under Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct. Notably, this is the first time that Mumbai have been found guilty of slow over rate in IPL 2026. For this reason, the captain has been fined. If a team is found guilty of slow over rate three times in the same season, the captain is banned for one match in addition to a financial penalty.

RCB’s Tim David was also punished

BCCI has also taken strict action against Team David of Royal Challengers Bangalore. This incident happened in the 18th over of RCB’s innings. actually, Hardik Pandya No balled, and Tim David hit a powerful six on the free hit.
